Parametric Training is not just another buzzword. It is a veritable jack-hammer of a training tool. By keeping one training parameter at a time constant (e.g. speed, distance, number of reps...) while increasing others, an athlete can make enormous strides in speed, power, endurance, and efficiency in a very short period of time. Although there are an infinite number of variables and combinations of these variables that influence sports training, only four of these training strategies have been thoroughly studied and proven to be effective. These four training strategies form the basis of our our parametric sets. The concept of Parametric Training Strategies was first conceived by Dr. Sergei Gordon (our scientific advisor) in the 1960's. It was then developed into a training tool and competition-proven in world-class events by a prestigious team of international scientists, elite coaches, and world class athletes. The use of Parametric Training has since produced numerous Olympic and World Class medalists in a variety of sports, and has proven itself to be a training strategy that produces outstanding results in a highly predictable and consistent manner. It has done this with several generations of athletes over a 30 year period, and has no equal in a coach's arsenal of training tools. Dr. Beliaev (a colleague of Dr. Gordon and the creator of 3S) has embedded these winning strategies into the 3S System, and made them available to athletes of all levels and abilities. As part of the online training system offered by 3S, it is now also accessible for the first time to athletes all over the world. Although the theory behind Parametrics is extremely complicated, its use in daily practice is not. Parametric sets will appear in daily training schedules according to the phase of the season. All an athlete or coach has to do is follow these recommendations just as he would any other set. The results are then virtually guaranteed! Our knowledge about Parametric Training is based on proprietary multi-decade research that is not available anywhere else. We ought to know. We invented it!
